About Mark Becker
Mark has more than 30 years of proven financial and strategic management experience both as an owner, financial executive and computer consultant. As a former business owner Mark can identify with the stress and responsibilities associated with owning and operating a business. Mark uses his education and experience in computer science, business, and accounting to identify weaknesses and areas that can be improved through workflow automation. He constantly looks for ways to identify areas that: improve cash flow and revenue, enhance the delivery of services and/or products, and reduce expenses.
Before joining B2B CFO®, Mark was a part owner of two businesses that were sold to public companies. The first company, a provider of independent medical exams, started with 3 employees and grew to a staff of 25 before merging with a similar business in another area of the state. This strategic merger resulted in a company of 88 employees providing services throughout New York State. Mark became the senior financial executive of this newly formed company responsible for managing operations, accounting and IT departments. Mark designed all the companies processes and workflow. After the sale of the merged company, Mark was hired as the senior financial executive of the newly formed $60-million-dollar division of a publicly traded company. This new division consisted of four wholly-owned subsidiaries with SEC reporting requirements. Mark assisted when this division was sold to another company. After the sale, Mark purchased with his brother a company specializing in the sales and service of medical devices. This company was eventually sold to another publicly traded company.
Prior to being a business owner Mark was a: systems consultant specializing in financial system implementation for a local CPA firm, manager of the IT department for a regional insurance company with 600 employees, an auditor with a national accounting firm, and a computer systems designer and programmer. Mark has a unique ability to work well and communicate with both financial and IT professionals.
Mark has experience as an auditor and computer consultant in many different industries. These industries include: insurance, manufacturing, not-for-profit, medical equipment sales and service, and delivery of medical services.
